My new idea for photobook 1 is inspired by Martha Rosler's The Bowery in two inadequate descriptive systems (1974–75). In this work, she combines pictures with text. She explores and deconstructs how disenfranchised people are represented by photographers. Her subject for the photos is a street in New York, and the text refers to the state she found people on the street.
My photobook will take inspiration from Rosler's layout. I will have pictures and text that relates to them, but they will probably not be on the same page. For example, picture then picture, then picture and then text and text and text.
